Geolocation item field bug

Hi,

We were trying to set up a simple geolocation field. We noticed that the values were not saved until I placed some dummy text in the parameters.

In this particular case, we had no values to automatically get the geolocation, simply wanted to make use of the marker/pop-up features.

Best Regards,

Nuno Aguiar

Hi guys,

I am trying to use this type of field for defining the Geolocation on an Item.

How does the entire Address Field work? IS this similar with the User object approach? Where the API will use the values from the Address fields to render an initial Geolocation?

Thanks,

Adrian

If you check out the old manual, that field is explained.:

manual.dynamicweb-cms.com/Default.aspx?ID=7592#32079

It is simply a CSV of the system name of other fields on the item type that together provides the address to pass to Google.

Thanks Nicolai,

I got used to searching in the new manual.

I have done aproximately the same thing, only I have used a single field for the entire address. Selected the field in the Address fields but I got no location from the API.

I will try with separate fields.

Thank you,

Adrian
