Hey

Is it possible to add multiple forums, and control permissions on each page, without forum threads is shared on all forums, and users is not limited to a fixed amount of forum groups?

Hi Mark,

You can create separate pages with the Forum app and set different permissions on each page.

I'm not sure what you mean by "users is not limited to a fixed amount of forum groups". Do you mean forum categories? Limited in what way? You would have to select available forum categories on the pages where the Forum app is used.

Best regards,
Morten

Hi Morten

I would like the user to be able to create forum categories themselves.

Back end users with permission to access to the Forum app can create any number of forum categories.
Front end users cannot create forum categories. They can only create threads / posts.

Anyway, I think the answer to your question is no. You don't have fine grained control over permissions in the Forum app.
What you can do is to build your forum by using items instead of using the Forum app. This allows you to control permissions on different levels of the item structure (content tree).

Best regards,
Morten

Ok thanks, it might be an option to go the items way.
