Hi,

My customer would like to export all text content from their website, for external translation. I know there is the "normal" translation of elements in DW, but this it the content entered in paragraphs and like.

I have made a suggestion to the customer, to crawl the website with an external tool, but maybe there is a sneaky, unknown way of doing this from within DW?

Hi Kurt,

I am not aware of any way of exporting and importing the content "the easy way".

That's because the content is stored in multiple places, usually ItemType tables.

The only way would be to export and translate all ItemTypeTables. But in the ItemType table, you cannot identify the specific ID of a line based on the LanguageId without having some sort of Join with another few tables.

Crawling is a good way of gathering all content for translation, but later on, your customer will have to add it manually.
