I just got the same issue with 8.9.2.15 in a website that's in production. Could it be the same issue? How can I find out more about what went wrong?

Hi,

Sorry to be pushing on this. The customer has a dev and a test environment and all went well on both. In production it is not and they are trying to set up new languages. Any help would be appreciated.

Turns out it's a bit different in our case. Here's the underlying error:

[Win32Exception (0x80004005): The wait operation timed out]

[SqlException (0x80131904): Execution Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.]

Seems it's timing out in the transaction inside the Copy method. 

Is there a way to speed things up somewhat or change the timeout temporarily?

Just tried it again with a local copy and I get the exact same error after exactly 30 seconds. Looks like copying takes more than 30 seconds and therefor it hits the timeout. Can we extend the timeout somehow?

Hello, is there any progress and or answer for this issue? We're experiencing the same issue for version 8.9.1.11.

we upgraded te solution to 8.9.2.23 on the local machine and tried to make a new language but we got the same error..

You get a timeout?

If we need to look at this issue, we need a copy of the website. I'll ask the service desk to contact you.
