Ecom field hide setting not working?

Hi

I am trying to hide some of the fields, for our costumer to have a cleaner and more userfriendly interface - but it´s not working http://screencast.com/t/l3WCx8xC

When I log in as a editor/user, I still see all the fields

Am I missing something, or is some setting missing?

Hi Hans

The function should works out of the box but only it look like we have made a small bug for Custom Product Fields.

Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused

I have created bug #23183 for this.

Notice the "Hidden" function works on standard fields

Hi Kristian,

Is the bug #23183  fixed in any version 8 releases? One of the customer is also having the same issue and they can't hide the custom field in product view. They are using version 8.9

Hi Thaw

This bug ended up being rejected as the user logging in was an administrator and they can always see all fields. So you need to be a non-administrator user before fields are hidden or readonly.
