A client has the following requirement. He wants to send email notification to his customers based on orders placed.

- Send email one week after order placed.

- Send email after third order.

- Send email when customer has not placed an order in the last 5 weeks.

Would you see this kind functionalitiy to be part of OMC?

What kind of features will be covered.

What are your thoughts?
Preferably i would like to get some feedback if these kind of functions will be available and approximately when?

We can develop these features our selves but it would be unfortunate if DW will releases similar function when we have developed our own.
If we develop this on our own would it be possible to extend this in OMC?

Hi Remi,

All three functions are in the road map for our system. It's not directly OMC but in e-mail marketing and campaigns - but never the less they are in the road map :-)

Basically are the thoughts: e-mail marketing module where you can send out e-mails (see video from webinar https://vimeo.com/58095780), campaigns will be a flow you can setup with e-mails and social publishing as you like, automation will come last with triggers as you ask.

Triggers could be your examples on orders or missing orders for a period and all other stuff. We will start our small with some triggers but expand over time.

Timing: e-mail marketing is in beta right now - it will be ready to market in 8.3. Same time we will release campaigns for beta. I haven't got an exact plan for triggers yet but my best guess will be within a year.

If you have any further questions or would like to enter as beta tester for e-mail or later campaigns, please let me know.
