Direct paths do not work for inactive products

Customer on 8.4.0.8

When a product isn't active (for instance, when it's out of stock), and a visitor has a direct link to the product page, the visitor gets a 404.

Now, when a "direct path" is made for that link, to redirect the visitor to an existing product for instance, the redirect does not function. Visitor still gets a 404 instead of being redirected to the other page.

Hi Ton

 

That´s a good question. I know that there has been som talks about a feature to able to replace an old Product with a new and maintain URL.
I will pass this on as a request to ProductManager.
