DIDNOTRESOLVE and 404 error due to slow URL indexing

Hi Community,

I am running on a DW 9.14.4 with a 6 core CPU and 20gb RAM Web/SQL server(specs was recommended by DW for the solution size).
The solution has around 180000+ products(and growing) in DW PIM and uses eCom navigation(standard) and eCom URL provider(standard)
Page wise we are only dealing with 83x3 item pages in total.

When our customer creates new products in the PIM the website takes a long time to navigate to a page in the frontend - when done it returns a 404 or a &DIDNOTRESOLVE=TRUE.
The next click then works as normal and performs nicely.

Each time they work with their products the solution is stunned for around 5 minutes because of the URL re-indexing.
Is there something that can be done immidieatly or could it become a planned fix in a release?

Hi,

A solution to this could be to introduce failover on URL indexing - somehow like it is possible with Repository indexing works today.

Would it be possible for you to introduce this - DW?

The solution will be that we do not support friendly URL like this on these sizes of product databases.

Instead it will be something like /product-name-{productid} - the same way as Amazon, Zalando and others do.

Which version is the particular solution running on? We did make some updates to this recently.
