Deploying Visual Content Editor

Dear Dynamicweb,

 

We have tried to use the deployment tool to deploy a site using the Visual Content Editor, but it does not seem to deploy data from the table: "GridRow". Is it supposed to be working?

No, that probably does not work. The content provider in deployment has not been updated with gridrow data.

Hi Anders,

I have added this feature to our backlog - Feature 80013: Deployment of grid rows
It has not been planned/prioritized yet, so I can't tell you exactly when it will be released, but my guess would be within a month or so.

It will be part of the 9.9 release which is scheduled for August 25th.

Hi Anders,

It was implemented in Dynamicweb.Deployment.DataItemProviders 2.2.0

Actually it has already been released with 9.8.8 and I think you need to upgrade to version 9.8.8 (or later) due to changes in the admin part.

Hi Morten, 

I just tried this on a Solution running 9.8.9 and with Dynamicweb.Deployment.DataItemProviders 2.2.0, but it does not transfer the Visual Editor settings.

So what happens...? Errors, just nothing, or what... Can we also see your config of the grid provider?

Hi Morten and Nicolai, 

 

Nevermind. You had to add the GridRow Provider as an Data group to the Content Deployment Tool. Now it works fine.
