Bugs in the Item List Editor

Hello,

I am working with a lot of named item lists right now and I have noticed two problems. I have an item "News" with some field groups that are shown only if the news is of a certain type (selectable in a dropdown list). Now I go to the named item list editor on the news page to fill my items.

The first problem is that the condition for showing the groups doesn't work right away. If I select my news type in the DDL, nothing happens. The second problem is that, if I begin filling the fields of the item, then save and close it, then click on it again to continue editing, it shows an ampty item. Both problems disappear once I've saved the actual page and go back to the item list editor, i.e the filtered group shows as intended, and the data that I had begun inputting is indeed there.

This looks like the data on the screen is pulled from the saved data in the database, instead of the temporary data I'm working on.

I'm using 8.6.1.4. Can you reproduce the issue ?

Hi,

I've looked into issues that you described and created 2 work items to fix the problems: 17350:Named lists opens empty form after save item & 17351:Visibility settings not working with fields of type Drop down list.

Hi,

I've letting you know about tasks progress: both of them are solved, 1 of it for now has status done(it is visibilyty functionality on dropdown fields) second one is solved and awaiting for some additional testing so it will be done very soon. It means that fix should arrive with next update.
