Edit captured order information (Disabled - order captured)

Hello, is it possible to edit captured order information?
I know that it's locked by design to prevent any manipulation of paid orders.
But maybe there is some way to edit a faulty address details?
Is there a way to bypass this?

PS. I have Editing enabled in the Settings -> Ecommerce -> Advanced Confiuration -> General
Thanks! 😊

Hi Wiktor,

As you have stated yourself, captured orders cannot be edited through the UI - that limitation is intentional, as the order is considered a financial document once payment is captured.

If you absolutely must correct something like faulty address details, the only workaround is to update the data directly in the database (EcomOrders).

But please treat this with extreme care:

  • Only change non-financial metadata (e.g., name/address) - never totals, fees, or anything affecting the financial record.

  • Be aware that modifying captured orders breaks the audit trail, which is why the platform blocks it by design.

  • Do not rely on this as a recurring workflow - it should be a last-resort fix.

For anything beyond minor metadata corrections, we strongly recommend creating a new order or handling the correction in your ERP.
