"Product component slider" and variants

Hellooo

DW 10.21.1
Swift 2.1.0

I think there is a bug in the "Product Component Slider".

I am not getting any products and it seems that it is not possible to select a variant like in DW 9, and the template needs variantid.

Good question. We actually recently fixed this error. Unfortunately it has only been released to github - You can find the changes needed here: https://github.com/dynamicweb/Swift/commit/8f85a57a2fe3775b73721f276943d4cbd609f8ed

Thank you.

However, we need the ability to select one or more specific variants, just like in DW9.
For example, building branding/inspiration pages where we want to link to a specific variant of a wooden floor or a specific variant of an ingredient in a recipe.

Hi Suzi

I investigated this, and there actually is a, somehow, new setting to enable both products and variants. On the item type "Product components slider", you can edit the field "Relate to". Choose "Products and variants", instead of just "Products". It seems to work, and enables both product and variant selection.



We will look into if we can make the setting as default on Swift 2.
