Placeholder tags in Back in Stock / Abandoned Cart emails

Is it possible to use Email Placeholder Tags like {{Email:User.UserName}} or {{Email:User.CustomerNumber}} in the body of an email that is sent through the Back in Stock or Abandoned Cart recipient providers?

In my tests the placeholders work correctly when I use the Preview function when setting up the mail. But when the email is actually sent after being scheduled by the provider the placeholders disappear, they are sent as empty values. Even though the mail is being sent to an actual user that signed up to this notification.

Has anyone managed to get these tags working in these Back in Stock or Abandoned Cart recipient provider based emails, or is this functionality limited to the Dynamicweb Users recipient provider only?

Any clarification or workarounds would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

John

Hi John,

Have you enabled Render content for each recipient in the Advanced tab > Content Settings?
You can find some information on it in https://doc.dynamicweb.dev/manual/dynamicweb10/marketing/campaigns.html?tabs=General

Best Regards,

Nuno

Hi Nuno,

The "Render content for each recipient" setting has already been enabled. I followed the instructions for both Content Settings and Recipient Settings as described in the documentation: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/marketing/other/back-in-stock-notifications#3487

Hi John,

It's unclear to me if you had done that before you reported the issue (in which case, sounds like a platform problem and I can't help; but I'm pretty sure whomever can would need to know the version you are on) or if you just did the change (after my post) and are waiting on results or feedback or whatever

Hi Nuno,

I had already enabled that option when I reported the issue, sorry for the confusion.

Thank you for the suggestion anyway. I was just wondering if this is expected behavior or if I forgot to configure something. The Dynamicweb version I'm using is 9.19.3
