Change User custom field format without losing data

Hi Guys and Happy New Year!

I have a situation with a solution where I need to change the format of a User CustomField. I see that I cannot change it from the interface, but I was wondering if I could change the format from the database directly. I would imagine a change on the AccessUser table (in case the length of the field changes) but I cannot find the definition that controls the User interface format. 
For ProductFields the definitions are stored in a dedicated table but I can't find a similar table for User fields.

Any pointers would be very helpful.

Hi Adrian,

 

The user custom field definitions are stored in a table called CustomField.
