Question to ignoring specific IPs in the SQL Injection checks

Having read this documentation: Web and HTTP (dynamicweb.com)

Does it mean that if there are entered IP adresses in the field "Ignore the following IPs" they are only ignored by the ban-mechanism or does it mean that they are ignored by SQL injection checks hence bypassing the whole security check?

It will prevent the listed IPs from getting banned. They still get a 403 or 404.

If you submit data being caught and you want to whitelist the data so it is passed through, you need to use the "ignore the following fields" option instead.
