Zero price behavior on Products

Hi,

Specially in projects that rely on Live Pricing, we have products with zero price. That could be because of integration issues, or simply because the product is not meant to be purchasable.

If the latter makes more sense, maybe a feature like the one requested in https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum?ThreadID=89751&PID=1605 would be a better foundation, but nonetheless, there is a need to configure what happens when the price is not propery returned from Live Integration.

Here's what we believe could make sense:

  • Price Component
    • Setting to determine to show/hide the price if it's Zero
    • Setting to render a message if the price is Zero (if empty don't show it)
  • Price table component
    • Setting to render a message if the price table is Zero (if empty don't show it)
  • Add to Cart component
    • Disable Add to cart button if price is Zero
    • Setting to render a message if the price table is Zero (if empty don't show it)
  • Related Products Paragraph
    • Disable Add to cart button if price is Zero
    • Setting to determine to show/hide the price if it's Zero
    • Setting to render a message if the price is Zero (if empty don't show it)

I'd love to hear about other thoughts and similar needs from others, trying to find the best solution. Maybe both the linked feature request is applicable along side with a Zero Price behavior.

Best Regards,

Nuno Aguiar

Hi,

I have created it as a feature request: 16938.
Notice that it's not planned or prioritized by our product manager.
