Users and groups rules in discounts - anonymous users behavior

We noticed some inconsisitent results using different users and groups settings in discounts.

  • When we don't specify any user, group, customer number - it works for all users.
  • When we select only Anonymous users - it is working for logged in users as well.
  • When we select a user group and Anonymous users - it only works for logged in users that belong to the group specified, even though Anonymous users is checked.

Is this the expected behavior? What is the logic around the Anonymous users checkbox?

Hi Mario

We have tried to reproduce the problem from here, but get the same Discount result.
What is the goal. The user can´t be both logged in from a usergroup and anonymous users at the same time. 
Can you split the discount in Logged in  / Anonymous.
Could you update Ticket 9390 with URL of the website, then we can have a look at the setup

Correction. Checkbox Anonymous is not part of Discount calculation
This is a bug.

Fixed in Dynamicweb 9.16.2

Hi Kristian,

Following up on this again as we've recently upgrade to 9.16.6 and are still seeing this issue as originally described unless we manually apply a patch.

Please advise on next steps or clarify the expected behavior. Thank you!
