Checkbox list field for Users

Hi guys,

I have recently encountered a situation where I had to define a custom User field as a Checkbox list (Multiple selection).

I have noticed that none of the current options allows for this type of setup.
All options are single select:

  • Checkbox,
  • Dropdown list
  • Radio button list

Am I missing a setting that would allow definition of such a field? I am using DW 9.15.7.

Hi Adrian

Custom fields for users do not support multiple values. You can create many checkboxes though - should be giving the same result.

Hi Nicolai,

I understand that it is not supported.

The approach with multiple separate checkbox fields would not generate the same result as each field will have a separate system name, which is what we want to avoid. 

But I get the limitation, and we'll have to work-around it.

I suppose there's no plan on adding this option anytime soon.
