Payment code field too small

Hi there,

In the database the field CountryNumber (Payment code) is four characters. However, I have a few, including Sint Maarten that I need, that are longer:

 

Can I just increase the size of the field in the database?

And is this field even used anywhere? Would it make sense to make it optional when it isn't?

Hi Imar

You can change the size in the database.

The field is probably not used anymore - it comes from a very long time ago where some payment gateways used these codes - but I do not think we have any of them anymore.

Hi Nicolai,

If they isn't used anymore, is it possible they could be not required?
We have an issue where we cannot save a county without setting the payment code first :)

Of course.

Just made the change, so upcoming releases will not have this as a required field.
