Images from image patterns being cached

Hi there,

I have run into a situation with image patterns that seems to be related to caching. When a product first doesn't have an image, Dynamicweb renders the No Image image. If I then later add the image, the site continues to show the No Image image. I can (it seems) force an update by uploading an image to the backend which (so it seems) clears the cache.

The same is happening in reverse: if I delete an image the web site will continue to show it.

Before I dig deeper into this and try to create a repro scenario, I was wondering if this is a known issue / feature and if there's built-in behavior to handle this properly.

We're running on 9.13.11 and Swift 1.12.

Thanks!

Bump one more time? Are image paths cached?

And what is the recommended solution? What is the caching time for a 404? It's quite common to first have no image and display the product. Currently when you then upload an image it won't be visible until the cache expires.

There is a sliding expiration of 15 minutes. You can disable the cache in the backend under image pattern settings.
