Order with no customer info created

Hi

The last week, a client of ours has experienced getting 3 orders, with no customer or delivery info on the order. We have configured validation, and there is a checkout flow, based on 4 different steps, so we don´t know how this is possible. Apart from having dynamicweb validation, we use html5 required validation on the input fields.

Anyone experienced something like this, and know what it could be?

NB: I have created a Support case for Dynamicweb Care on this, but please let me know if you experienced anything like this, and knows what can cause this.

The solution version is 9.13.11

Hi Hans,

We have noticed something similar in a swift implementation.

It happens when the user deletes an orderline. Somehow, the order is completed although we have a lot of validations on the cart.

We have put it on the account of the separation between cart (1 step + checkout) and the actual checkout flow (3 steps + checkout).

In our case it happened when the user went to the last step in checkout, then returned to the cart and deleted an order.

We could not create an easy to reproduce scenario to submit it to Dynamicweb Care but it seems the situation is not isolated just on our project.

I would be happy to see a fix for this.

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi Adrian

thank you for your reply.

I can see there is a Bug on swift orders in Known Bugs regarding this. But ours is not a swift solution. Wonder if it´s isolated to swift?

Did you get orders, where the customers had paid? In our case, the customers had paid by MobilePay, but there was now customer info.

We found out that we had carts for creating printing labels, and these had no validation - but it is not possible to get to these carts by any normal navigational path, so the only way the customer can get to these, is by knowing the path.

So the customer would have to go to the normal website => add products to cart => and then find the url of the shipping label cart via Google or something, and enter it into the browser. It sound highly unlikely to me that this is the case, but you never know.

Hi Hans,
I guess that the probleme is not Swift specific. If a cart can be finalised without validation (assuming a validation is set on the cart), that's definitelty a DW bug and not a Swift bug.

In our case, we catched it before go-live.

I agree that it it very unlikely for a customer to go over the steps you have described.

In your case, probably the payment method by MobilePay was set as default and hence the customer was redirected to the Payment provider page.

We have to keep an eye on the bug fix :)
