Auto-dettach products from groups

Hi,

We implemented a scheduled task using the product assignment rules to auto-assign products to groups. It works great!

The issue comes when a product is modified so it has to be dettached from its old group and attached to a new group. The scheduled task assign correctly the product to the new group but it doesn't dettach the product from the old group.

Is it possible to detach a product from a group using the product assignment rules? If not, what is the best aleternative?

Hi,

I've check the feature on DW9.13.7 and saw it works as expected per the manual if 'Don't detach products' option is not checked in appropriate scheduler task. Detach from source group (not under rules) should not be done, since it's not moving and can be performed via impact to db only (removing product-group relation).

Hi Oleg,

Thanks very much for the info, the reason is clear now.

Maybe it would be nice to have an option to "Dettach from group" below the current "Destination group", just a suggestion :-)
