Bug in item creator file field - does not accept all characters in file name

Hi

we found out that the Item Creator does not accept all filenames in file fields. Eg. this filename will cause an error "pitstop Føroyar Ársroknskapur og frágreiðing 2021.pdf"

We have 3 solutions where the item creator is essential, and we can not control what users name their files. Could you please fix this bug?

Hi

not reproduced on Rapido solution based on last DW9.13.4 admin (create item in page, paragraph and ite, type list). Please, have a look at the video about item creation in page as example and specify the case if still reproduced.

In your web.config you should find a <globalization> node. How does that look?

could that be the issue?

Yes, inside <system.web> node you should have this one:

<globalization requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8" fileEncoding="utf-8" />

Sorry for pushing this, but it is an urgent issue for the client. How can I access the web.config file on a standard solution?

If  it hosted with us, you need to talk to support. If you host it elsewhere, you need to talk to them.
