Language versions of product groups

Hi,

I have a number of ecom Shops with a number of product groups. Now we are adding a new language to those shops.

Is there any clever way to create language versions of the product groups in those shops.

Hi Aki,

Depends on the definition of "clever". :-)

Using the UI the only option is to save each group that needs to be in a new language. Thing is, we don' t know if each and every group should be available in any given language. So, there is no activate language for all groups. So it has to be dertermined for each group.

If the number of groups is quite extensive, I would personally make a piece of code that would run through all groups and save them in the new language.

"Clever" as in easy for the customer.  :-) 

Yes I agree that all groups should not be activated as default in the new language. 

But it would be awesome if there could be some sort of functionality similar to PIM where you can create language versions of product. Or maybe a setting like "Create languge versions.....:". :-)

In a solution with a multiple shops with large number och groups where the shops ha multiple languages it gets bit diificult with either saving each group. 

I'll look into coding it, or perhaps export, change some stuff and import.
