We've noticed performance issues when logging in, starting with 9.12. I've finally sat down to figure out the root cause since we have some pressing upgrades that we've been putting off as a result.
The issue happens to do with impersonation of a lot of accounts, and likely if they have custom user or custom user address fields.
I created a video to show the issue and what in the platform is causing it.

This is impacting us upgrading a few sites from 9.10.x, although now that I better understand it, we may work around it by telling the power users that their login will take longer, but that end customers won't have an issue since they typically only impersonate a single user.
