Unpublished page returns codified instead of redirecting to 404

Hi,

We have a customer running in 9.12.4 and unpublished pages such as https://sv.winnebago.com/demo return codified instead of redirecting to their 404 (i.e. https://sv.winnebago.com/demo-with-page-that-does-not-exist) if the compression is set to gzip (with Brotli it works fine).

Is this a known issue?

Looks like double gzip encoding - br can probably handle that, gzip not.

Cannot reproduce it locally - also the code checks for that. Looking at the response headers it could be cloudflare related?

HI Nicolai,

Thanks for that. I relayed the info to the Customer's IT department. I haven't heard back, but that surely helped.

Hi Nicolai,

It's not Cloudflare apparently. They gave me a URL of a lower level environment where this does not happen. If I send you that URL via email, could you take a look and a guess of what that might be instead?

Hi Nicolai,

This is still happening and we excluded Cloudflare for now. Here's a URL that's not in Clouflare: https://216.38.201.3/demo/video-library

I am attaching the Request headers with and without logged into the backend, but I can't tell if anything is accurate or not. Anything that you could tell?

This is using 9.12.4
