Localizing Payment options

hi guys,

After upgrading to 9.12.10 we have lost the ability to localize payment methods.

Before, we had the option to set localized icons, now I cannot edit them anymore. They are greyed out.

Is this a new feature? Is there a setting I am missing?

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi Adrian

Yes, that is new behavior as of 9.12. All settings like variant groups, options, payments, shipping etc. will always exist in all languages. They can still be localized on fields like name and description - but in this case with the image, they cannot. I guess we did not see the need for localizing the icons. A workaround is to create 2 payments using the same settings and enable/disable them on the cart instance or change the icon in the template. I understand that is not the best solution, but short term option.

Hi Nicolai,

Understood. In most cases, the icon is not changed between languages. In my case, the customer is using an EUR icon for Slovakia and a Czech Krona for Czech.

I will duplicate the payment method for now.

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi Nicolai,

I have investigated your suggestion and I have another issue now.

For payments and shipping, we have defined in the database the ID of the options according to the ID of the options in NAV in order to map them correctly when sending over the order.

If I create a duplicate Payment option, I will not be able to use the same PaymentID.

I have noticed though a few new properties on the Payment and Shipping options:

Can I use Code for the purpose of mapping the payment option between DW and NAV? Is that value included already on the order?

Thank you,

Adrian

Yes - they are made for ERP purposes.
