Additional Scheduled are running parallel with the schedule one

Hi All,

I want to check on the Schedule jobs with intervals of 15 minutes. We implemented a scheduled job to be sent out 800 emails per 1 batch.

Issues -> we scheduled a job with 15 minutes interval times for 1 day (9:00 am -11:00pm). But during it was running, 1 parallel job has also run without scheduling it at 12/8/2021 9:54:44 AM.

Below are the scheduled run times and see the parallel job.

12/8/2021 9:15:44 AM
12/8/2021 9:30:52 AM
12/8/2021 9:45:51 AM
12/8/2021 9:54:36 AM
12/8/2021 9:54:44 AM (sent duplicated email to same customer email)

12/8/2021 10:00:54 AM
12/8/2021 10:15:42 AM
12/8/2021 10:30:42 AM
12/8/2021 10:46:18 AM
(pause for the coming scheduled)

During the schedule, we have no other schedule or manual job there. Do you have any possible ways that happen on it?

Or can someone suggest how to prevent it? Thank you in advance! :)

Best Regards,

Nay Chi

Hi Nay,
Maybe someone has started this job manually from the scheduled tasks list?
What is your solution url?

Hi Dmitrij,

We are monitoring the jobs from the backend and no one runs the scheduled tasks and call the URL manually also.

But what we found now is that there are some IP addresses calling from the server and it makes run the job parallelly.
Any possible reason with server configuration or infrastructure?

Hi Nay,
yes, that could be probably possible if you have several different servers or one server that has several same time running Windows scheduled tasks
that trigger the same site.
So go to your servers and run Task scheduler window and check those:

So maybe you have several same tasks on different servers.

Thank you Dmitrij for your kind answer!

Having different servers could be one of the possible problems. But we could not able to check on the customer side as they mentioned no issue there.
And I just double-check on it. Can it be also because of the DW's Backend Scheduled Task function?

When we have the same schedule, it was running parallel again. Eg, we set 2 scheduled to be run at,

schedule 1: BEGIN - 16:00 and END - 16:10
schedule 2: BEGIN - 16:05 and END - 16:15 (meanwhile another schedule also running at 16:05)

So, a total of 3  jobs have been run at the time.

Does anyone experience the same as that?

Best Regards,

Nay Chi
