Possible to disable the visual editor?

Hi

We are wondering if it is possible to disable the visual editor in swift and/or be able to add paragraphs like you normally do with the "New paragraph" button?

When you try to add a paragraph with the button, it will be displayed in the (not in template), and can't be dragged into the Grid to be shown on the page.

Hi Tina

Unfortunately that is not possible. I can see that it is an issue that you have the new paragraph button and insert global as they would not work (In swift that is)

When using visual editor on a page, the paragaphs has to go into a row that has space for it - and all that logic is only part of the visual editor and not the paragraph list.

Can you put some words on the use case for creating new content outside the visual editor?

Hi Nicolai

We just tried to think of how our customers normally use the system to add and edit content, and it raised some questions :)

It can be somewhat heavy to do some things in the visual editor, compared to the normal paragraphs. For example when you want to drag'n'drop a row up/down on the page. If you have a lot of rows, it takes you several drags to get the row to the correct position on the page, and every time you drag it, it automatically publishes your changes. Could it be possible to be able to drag the rows on the normal paragraph list, as it would be much easier to do than in the visual editor?

The automatic publishing also goes for everything you create on the page, so you don't have the posibility to wait with publishing your row till you are completely done with it, unless you do it on a hidden page and move/copy the row to the page you want it displayed on.

Also it isn't possible to disable or copy just one column, but you disable or copy the whole row.

If you have deaktivated a row, you'll still see it in the visual editor, so it doesn't show you a completely correct view of what your page rally looks like.

It looks like you aren't able to use the global element button either?
