Assortment not working with GetNavigationViewModel

Dear Dynamicweb,

 

We are trying to output the navigation with: GetNavigationViewModel, but is does not seems to take the assortments into account.

It that intended or are we missing something here?

Hi Anders,

It is intended, that assortments should influence the navigation. In fact, the provider that the NavigationViewModel uses under the hood does use assortments already.

There are a couple of things I can think of that might influence that: Either the user context doesn't exist, or assortments are not turned on in the frontend (Settings -> Ecommerce -> Advanced configuration -> Assortments -> Assortments in frontend). Of course, Ecommerce navigation also needs to be turned on for that page.

If you have a user and have assortments turned on, it should work. If it still doesn't we may need to open an investigation into the issue.
