Is it possible to delete reference to global elements?

Hi

On a page, you can create paragraphs or insert a global element. In the list of global elements, i selected the wrong element (from wrong language area), and now i want to get rid of it in the list, but i can´t seem to do that. Is this possible? Deleting it is not an option, at it serves its purpose on the right language area. Just want it removed from this language area, so I can attach the right one, and not cause any havoc by having two.

See attachment.

Hi Hans,

I believe it will go away automatically as soon as it stops being referenced. Notice that it says you have 1 "In Use" . Remove the reference (global paragraph) and that list will clean itself up.

Hi

Thats the weird part. I have indeed deleted the only place it was inserted, and emptied the trash - but it still says 1 "In Use". Is there a "hidden" global paragraph page in Dynamicweb (default in system), that I can not access?

Hi Hans,

Not that I know of, but you can try to go to Settings > Developer > Cache > Service Caches and try to Refresh the ParagraphService https://www.screencast.com/t/OjSaDIk2r

If that doesn't work you could look into SQL to try to find where that reference is. It lives in the Paragraph table

Hi Nuno

Looks like I was a little bit too quick there. I actually did manage to fint the "sinner" by looking up paragraphs with global id not = 0. This helped me solve the issue.

Thank you for your help 👍🏻
