Hi guys,

I have read in the documentation that I can use "Default related groups" to automate the assignment of products to groups based on these relations.

I have tried it out on a group and product but it does not seem to behave as advertised :)

The assignment to the related groups did not happen after I have assigned the product.
Is there a scheduled task that I need to set up for this to work? Is the assignment supposed to be instant or delayed?

I am using DW 9.10.12 and I have tried the above setup in the PIM section.

This issue is very important for a project I am working on and based on how this works I may or may not need to think about custom development.

Hi guys,

I believe I have figured out (partially) how it works.

It seems to work only when CREATING products but not when ASSIGNING products to Groups.
Is there any way I can trigger this behavior on EDIT? Maybe with a Custom code?

Yes - that is how it works. You can do it custom - but you have to look in our source if you want to steel the feature.

Hi Nicolai,

That's what we'll try to do :)

I have also noticed that the feature only works when creating the product from the interface. When adding a product via import, it does not seem to be triggered.
