Dear Sir,

Is there any way to filter the best seller products by repository query?

Thanks,

Yoon

Yes - you can use the field "Order count" - that is the most sold product in a query in the past 60 days.

Alternatively you can use "Order count growth" - it is the products that has risen most in popularity one week over the previous.

Hi Yoon,

Depends on what "filter by best seller" products mean:

  • If you mean to really filter, then you can set an expression using the "Order count" or "Order count growth" where the value is more than X

  • If you mean sort by best price, then you need "Order count" or "Order count growth" in the sorting settings

More than often I see that customers also want to control which products do not show in the best selling (sorting or filtering) because they are either small accessories or bought in bulk, skewing their perspective. That would make things a bit more complex where you may need to have a custom field to "Exclude from Best Selling Products".

If you're working with integrated products, then you may consider importing the "full order count" or "best selling ranking" from the ERP directly, assuming the product is sold from multiple sources which your customer wants to reflect in the frontend.

Best Regards,

Nuno

A note: The order count is how many orders have a given product. And not how many was bought. So if one customer buys 123 of the same product, the order count is just 1.

Dear Nuno,

Actually I would like to create the separate repository query to filter all best seller products within the website and use that query to show in the frontpage product carousel.

Thanks,

Yoon

Sounds good Yoon. In this case you can simply use Sorting like Nicolai also mentioned and use X products per page and you'll be good to go
