Search BlogArticles in multiple fields

Hi guys,

I have a request to allow the users to search article blogs but bind the search term to an additional field (other than the default Title).

If I replace the Title with ScientificName, the search works. But I need to be able to search in both fields. Is this possible?

Thank you,

Adrian

If it is using the index, you can just change the query...?

Hi Nicolai,

I am using the Articles approach. The entire setup for articles using the ItemTypes. Standard Rapido functionality.

If I have no other way around it, I will probably switch to using the Query Publisher but this means a lot more time spent on the development.

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Nicolai,

I have had a look there and I have tried Title={keyword}&ScientificName={keyword} and it does not work.

With either Title={keyword} or ScientificName={keyword} it works. it just does not work with both. And I was hoping there is another syntax that would allow using the same keyword for 2 fields.

Or even change the Filter definition in the RenderItemPublisher method.

Adrian
