Hi guys,
I have a 9.8.11 application where our customer wanted to show a paragrapg to members not having their emailpermissions set to true.
They created a smart search "No email permission" for these users:
- Group Is FullMember
- Email permission Is False
The created a marketing personalization profile "Has email permission set to false":
- Member of Equal to "No email permission"
They created an item paragraph and to not show this to anonymous users they set the permissions to:
- Anonymous users (frontend) None
And to only show it to logged in users with no email permissions set they set the personalization to:
- Specific manually
- Personalize content based on: Primary profile only (tried Any recognized profile too)
- Show to selected profiles
- "Has email permission set to false" visibility: true
The result is that:
Anonymous users don't see the paragraph (correct due to permissions settings)
All signed in users see the paragraph, is does not matter if they occur in the smart search the personlization is based on.
I recreated their setup on a testing environment, but can't get it to work either ...
Removing the permission doesn't help ... it only shows the paragraph to anonymous users which we don't want ...
What are we doing wrong here ...
