I have just received a request from one of our customers and it may make sense to consider it as a feature.
The request is to be able to set the Read-only state of a field based on a workflow state.
The reason for this is that they want to avoid changing some fields (by accident or negligence) if the product has entered a specific state that would trigger the sync of Product data to other systems (like ERP or e-commerce)
I understand this is going to be a custom development in my project but maybe future projects can benefit from it if it becomes a feature.
