Track queries for statistics

Hi guys,

I have a project where I have activated the "Track query for statistics" option on the product catalog and all of the other search-related Product catalog modules.

However, I cannot see any information in the Statistics. Is there any other setting I need to activate apart from the option on the Product Catalog?

The solution runs on DW 9.9.8 and it is hosted in the Dynamicweb Cloud.

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

The statistics information should be available under Settings/Repositories

Hi Steffen,

Thank you for the response. I have found the place where I need to look for the collected statistics but there is nothing collected.

Hi Steffen,

Can you help me with this request? I still don't see any information in the Statistics.

Is this functionality dependant on other checkboxes/settings?

Thank you,

Adrian

Hello,

Has this been clarified how to get this search tracking to work?

Hi Anders,

I got no official reply on this thread but Nuno replied on a separate topic. He found out a checkbox for enabling Tracking :)

Dear Adrian,

Thank you for quick response here - we now got it to work :-)

Do you have experience with the tracking? As we see issues with tracking search strings: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum?ThreadID=79752&PID=1605

Best regards, Anders

Dear Adrian and Dynamicweb,

I can see that the tracking is actually not working for ajax requests, and this is the only way that rapido is requesting data from the index...

How can we change this behaviour to have ajax requests tracked for searching?

Best regards, Anders

Hi Anders,

Have you checked the page that gets requested by AJAX if it's the same one? The page that gets the search results is the one that needs to have tracking statistics enable (in the Product Catalog app)

Dear Nuno,

Yes, that is just the feed version of the same page.

If I visit the feed version directly in my browser the search is tracked, but if the feed is requested by ajax, then the search is not tracked...

Hi Anders,

uhg... I seem to remember seeing that too, now that you mention it.

Yeah, someone from Dynamicweb would have to speak up about it

Best Regards,

Nuno
