Variants and Units

Greetings,

I am trying to incorporate a unit(Piece) to an variant, but i cannot get it to work. There is no unit selector in the frontend, and the unit is not set on the product.

I am working on a standard Rapido solution(3.4.2) which is running: 9.9.6 (http://rapido-342-full.websrv01.smartpage.dk)

I have set up a unit on this variant: http://rapido-342-full.websrv01.smartpage.dk/english/products/bikes/mountain-bikes/mongoose-tyax-comp-disc-3/blue (productnumber: 10001 variantId: VO1)

Have tried to restart IIS and check all the correponding tables in the database(EcomStockUnit, EcomVariantsOptions, EcomVariantGroups)

Hi Keerthy

As far as I can see, you are using "simple variants". And I am not sure they support unit options. I would suggest to use extended variants instead.

Hi Karsten,

As far as i can read. Simple variants will never a seperate row in the database. So the product i am working with, must be a type of Extended Variant.

Hi Keerthy

I have tried to look much further into this. And I have tried to set it up on my local setup, and I got it to work by also setting up the units here:

I know they are working on a much better documentation on how to set up units correctly. I think that may be a help, when it is avaialble.

Best regards

Hi Karsten,

Thanks for your message.
