Considering the "Fields for password recovery" https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/users/user-management/extranet#2519, can we have the User Type be added?
We use user types to distinguish users and sometimes we have newsletter subscribers or an email address that's associated with a different user record and a way we have to distnguish between them is through User types - here's how they look in the backend .
An alternative would be to filter by a specific user group.
