Permission on Setting and each of its contents

Dear All,

I have set the permission for some user groups to get only 'Read' and 'Read & Edit' permission on Setting and some of its contents eg. Integration > Data Integration , Integration Framework Batch, so on.

Now, the users under these groups can remove or delete for those scheduled jobs and data integration jobs under Integration although I set the permission as 'Edit'.

PS. I am aware that in the Permission section, it is mentioned that The minimum permission which grants access to the Settings tree is Edit.

That's why I only set as 'Edit' on setting and its contents for those user groups.

Can you please advise me how to limit not to get other permission accesses except Read and Edit for these user groups on Setting and its contents?

Thank  you!

Best Regards,
Nyein

Hi,

I'm afraid but it's impossible nowadays, since permissions from specific node in Settings tree are not inherited by content under it and permissions on the content (e.g.  Integration Framework Batch list you have mentined above) not yet implemented.

Hi Oleg,

I would like to clarify what statement "permissions on the content (e.g.  Integration Framework Batch list you have mentined above) not yet implemented" means. Could you please provide more details on this topic? Does it mean we had configured this wrongly and that is why it doesn't work? OR Does it mean that permission feature for Setting and contents of setting is not implemented fully and it won't work according to our configurations at this point?

Thank you!

Hi,

It means that content performed under specific node -'Integration Framework Batch list' in your case does not yet have any ability to set specific permissions like 'Read/Edit/Create/Delete' etc. to limit an user..
