Can the upload button on a file select control in the CMS be disabled somehow?

Hi guys,

A request from one of our 9.7.5 customers.
Can the upload button on a filecontrol in the CMS be disabled/hidden somehow?

There is the option to select a base path, which will probably be the directory it uploads to automagically when using this button.
But this customer has a permission structure where region managers can only manage pages within their own content region directory and only manage files in their only files regions directory. So there is no 1 base directory available for this item type used by region managers.

They want their region managers to manage their files through the file manager and only select files with a file selector control.

I can't seem to find the hide upload option, but perhaps there is yet another checkbox somewhere?

Hi Peter

I am sorry, but that cannot be disabled...

But if you set the permissions of the folder to not being able to write to it, I do not think the user cannot upload files to it.
