Free shipping on giftcards not working

I try to avoid the customer being billed for shipping when buying a gift card. In this case its just a code in a email...

So I thought I would make a free shipping discount, but the free shipping discount is not working if the shopping cart only contains giftcard.

Maybe it's a bug...?

Are there other ways to avoid shipping on gift card?

Hello Kim,

1. Looks like you are using Rapido 3.1.1 previous version where the "Free sheeping" discount type didn't work indeed. This bug was fixed in the last released Rapido 3.2 version. 

Could you upgrade up to the latest 3.2 version?

2. Another way how to set a 0.00 shipping discount for giftcars - to add a new rule for a particular product (giftcard) / group (containg giftcards) to existing shipping:

Go to admin Settings > Ecommerce > Orders > Shipping > edit Shipping method > scroll down to FEE RULES section > click CLICK HERE TO ADD A NEW ROW button > fill in needed fields and set a "Fee" = 0 for "Products and / or groups" = particular giftcard / group containing giftcard (please see attachment).

1. It's not a rapido but it is  dw version 9.7.3

The problem #72714 "Free shipping" discount and giftcard was resolved in 9.7.5 and in 9.8+ versions
