In the process of preparing a website for going live we where testing the order process, and somehow we did not get to the payment page. After a lot lot lot of testing we finally found out that the problem was that the choice of default payment method under "Internationalization -> Countries -> NL" was reset every time we did a save on the payment settings of our custom payment provider (Orders -> Payment).
Because the reset set the payment method from our custom provider to None, the payment process was being skipped, and the cart page was reloaded.
Is there a valid reason to reset the payment choice for the countries when we do a save action on the payment provider settings? Even if nothing is changed? And without any warning?
This issue has cost us many hours and led to a delay in getting live with the website, since we could not get the payments working in time.
Please let us know if this is working as intended or if its a bug.
