Query selection in Discounts

Hi,

We can currently select a query in Order Discounts, and that is awesome. However the challenge we have is that we cannot see PIM queries.

This means the user needs to configure a query in Repositories and then have a page that renders that query to ensure their expressions are accurate, before they can properly create a Discount and associate it.

Is there a better way to have our customer "view" a query result before they can properly assign a Query?

Hi Nuno

Currently you cannot see that. We have discussed a preview feature that will show a list of results or at least the count in repositories.

Also it should be fairly simple to include PIM queries in discounts. But currently not planned.

Would it be fair to tell the customer that a solution (not commiting to any) is being studied and in the meanwhile we can create an unpublished page for them to update the query and see the results?

And if so, is something planned for 9.6?

You could say that to the customer, but since it is not planned, I would not say that to them, since they will make it into a hard promise you cannot be sure to deliver on.

It is not planned - not for 9.6 or later releases yet...

Ok, thanks for confirming. I will not commit to any release but tell them that Dynamicweb Denmark is aware of the issue and will be looking for a solution.
