Google Analytics querystring parameters in Email Marketing email

Hi

When sending out newsletters using Email Marketing and Tracking = "Google Analytics" links in the newletter looks like this: 

http://[domain]/link.ashx?id=375&ref=83496&linkparam_utm_source=sou&linkparam_utm_medium=med&linkparam_utm_campaign=nam&linkparam_utm_term=ter&linkparam_utm_content=con

Shouldn't the querystring be without the yellow marked text?

Running DW v9.3.11

Hi Lars,

The link handler (link.ashx) will remove the "linkparam_" prefix before it redirects to the actual page.

So when a user clicks on a link it will result in a URL like this (without the linkparam_ part):

http://[domain]/[path]?utm_source=sou&utm_medium=med&utm_campaign=nam&utm_term=ter&utm_content=con

Have you experienced any problems with this?

Hi Morten

I don't know if it makes any problems. It was our SEO man who wondered why the link looked as it did. Will post again if it makes any problems. Thanks smiley
