Editors to be able to edit itemfield values from paragrap/page view (lists like dropdown, radiobutton, checkboxs lists)

Hi

In some cases it would be really handy if the editor could have the option of adding and removing values/options from litbased item fields (as eg. Dropdown, radiobuttons, checkmarks list) -  without having to go into settings/items and that specific item and the correct field etc. Would be great if it was posible to eg. open a modal in the paragraph or page edit view.

This would eg solve this problem https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/cms-standard-features/cms-standard-features/blog-categories-and-tags

Hi

It's possible to populate a listbased item field (as eg. dropdown-, radiobuttons- or checkbox list) with labels and values from another itemtype (see attached screenshot). The itemtype to populate labels and values can be in the pagetree so they are easy to edit for an editor. Isn't it what you want?

Hi, no i am not shure it is. You are referring to the item publisher, correct? The item publisher could be used to pupulate a dropdown list based on items eg. from the pagetree, but the it would not solve this "problem" https://doc.dynamicweb.com/forum/cms-standard-features/cms-standard-features/blog-categories-and-tags

Not sure how I could solve the connection beween the values in the dropdown, in regard to how I should tag other pages with the same values, so that if i select eg. Sports or Finance in the dropdown, I would only se pages tagged with Sports or Finance

Hi Hans

No, it's not the item publisher that I am referring to. It's when you create a field (dropdown-, radiobuttons- or checkbox list) on an itemtype that you can set that labels and values should come from an itemtype instance (eg. page or paragraph itemtype). You could define an itemtype with two fields (label and value). Enable the item type for pages or paragraphs and create some pages or paragraphs based on this itemtype and enter label and value values in these pages or paragraphs. Now edit the dropdown-, radiobuttons- or checkbox list itemtype field that you want populated with labels and values from the label/value itemtype you just created. Click on the pencil icon (see attached screenshot) and point at the label/value itemtype.

Regarding your question about tagging I am afraid that I don't quite follow what you mean.
