Hi Guys,

I have a project that was upgraded from the version 8.9.1.4 to 8.9.2.16. I had the assortments set up and working in the version 8.9.1.4 and after the upgrade they are not working anymore.
In fact they are working in the product list page, but not in the eCom navigation, using the "AssortmentNavigationProvider". I already re-builded the the assortments but the eCom menu is still showing all the groups instead of the restrict groups per user/user-group.

 

Does anyone have the same issue? Can it be a bug?

Hi Ricardo,

I just tested this on 8.9.2.16 and it seems to work as expected.

Enable assortments in front end (setting in Management Center).
Create a page with product catalog and navigation using AssortmentNavigationProvider and selected shop.
Create two users, U1 and U2.
Create two product groups, G1 and G2, and added some products.
Create one assortment, A1, with U1 added to the list of user groups and G1 added to the list of product groups.
Rebuild the assortment.

Visible groups in front end navigation...
User U1 (assortment): G1, G2
User U2 (no assortment): G2
User Anonymous: G2

Do you get different results? Or do you expect different results?

Hi Morten,

Thank you for the quick response.
I disabled the old assortments and follow the same steps then you and worked. After that, I removed the new assortments and enabled the old ones again, and they already worked. Could it be some type of assortments cache?

Hi Morten,

 

I am working on the same project as Ricardo and I definately see problems. Take a look at this:

  • I am running 8.9.2.16
  • You can see the steps you mentioned
  • I never get my menu do be rendered properly

 

Am I missing something?
