We have a few requests for the Combine products as family. We really like the idea, but there are some blocking (but easy to overcome) issues.

  1. The product picker should have a search/filter in it. Right now you have to know exactly where in the ecom group tree your products are.
  2. Also, the product picker only shows X amount at a time (100?) and if you have more than that, you have to expand them. So you can't even use the browser's Ctrl-F to locate your product.
  3. It would be very convenient to start with a search on the product list page to narrow down to a small number of products, then select them and click Combine products as family and have all of those items be added to the wizard. 
  4. The Master radio button should be able to be changed, even if you started with a particular product. That's extra useful for #3 above, but useful in general.
