We have an issue with the FedEx calculations for a site where they often have a combined weight of greater than 150lbs (68kgs). However, the individual packages are something like 40lbs. The customer sells by the case and ships by the case, so what we really need is for the calculations to be made for each unit sold rather than the combined weight of everything. Otherwise, we can't get the shipping calculations if they have more than 150lbs of items.

Is there a standard way that that is normally handled? How can we have the FedEx provider break the shipments into pieces for the calcuations?

Hi Scott

That is not possible to do with default behavior.

You might need to make your own version of the fedex that will process each orderline (instead of the entire order) to fedex, and sum the shippings fees on the order.
