Cannot add/edit product description

Hi,

I have an issue in Dynamicweb.dll 8.9.1.12.

In e-commerce module, when I i try to add a product description, and click save, it is not saved. There are still old descriptions on the web-site, and I cannot change them. Each time I click save, though, there are some quotes (""") appear where description should be.

How can i fix that?

Hi Nataliya

Looks like a broken template more than something coming from the editor... Could you have a look inside the template and look for broken code?

Hi Nicolai,

Thank you for your reply, I checked the template, and I see these commas coming from server. Each time I click save, there are more commas. Besides, after I click save, the description field becomes empty again and I cannot edit it.

I normally use Chrome, but I also tested in IE, and I saw that description fields are completely disabled in IE

Are you still running the old old editor maybe?

Make sure you are using "Provider based editors": http://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-8/platform/advanced-settings/editing

The reason is that modern browsers no longer supports the old editor.

If this is not the issue, we need a url to the solution - feel free to create a case in service desk.
